The Glass on Grass weekend was great regardless of the weather on Saturday. Friday night was absolutely beautiful and we enjoyed the company of old and new friends and the waitress at the second table was a real character. We really enjoyed the banter going on between her and everyone at our table. The food was good too.

Saturday turned out to be a little different. It rained at the beginning of the day and of and on throughout the day. We want to send out a special thank you to everyone that brought out their car even though the weather didn't want to co-operate. It felt pretty good though a lot better than too hot and we got to see some new rain gear modeled by Jackie Brown and Diana Vanhook. We had 99 cars in the park which is pretty good considering the wet weather and again thank you for your participation. We gave away some great prizes donated to the club by McCurley Integrity our club sponsor, Camp Chevrolet, Corvette America, Corvette Central, C&H Auto Repair, Ecklers, Formula 113, Griots Garage, McGlades Bistro & Wine Bar, Meguiar's, Mid-America Motorworks, O'Reilly Shucks Auto Parts, Twiggs Bistro & Martini Bar, Napa Auto Supply, O'Doherty's Irish Grill and The Davenport Hotel which donated  a nights stay in one of their rooms again this year which is a $300 value. I would like to send out a special thank you to Jeff Robinson for all his hard work in getting donations for the show and for all the members who work so hard every year to make our event work. I would also like to thank those folk that drove in from California, Montana and Canada. Some of them drove about 1200 miles to get here. We appreciate your participation in our day in the park.

Sunday' brunch was another great day. Chuck and Pat thought about a drag race off the light on 3rd but good sense won out. We did make a little noise while we waited for the light though. It was beginning to get a little warm in the parking lot so we were glad to be on our way to the Casino for brunch. After good food and great companionship everyone left to head home or go shopping. I hope everyone had a great time. I know I did.
