THE PREZ SAYS; SAY HALLELUJAH.  MY FRIENDS, SUNDAY, 17TH. AFTER IT SNOWED IN THE MORNING, MELTED OFF BY NOON AND WAS ACTUALLY A FAIR DAY, I UNPACKED THE VETTE, FIRED HER UP AND LORIE AND I TOOK HER OUT FOR HER MAIDEN VOYAGE OF 2011.  I HAVE THE FEVER, HUGE, LETS DRIVE !!! I IWANT TO TALK TO YOU ABOUT THE NEW CORVETTE ENGINE THAT IS BECOMING AVAILABLE IN THE  FUTURE.  THIS 14 CYLINDAR BEAUTY PACKS SOOM GIGANTIC NUMBERS.  LET ME REVIEW IT WITH YOU.  14 CYLINDERS, BORE OF 38 INCHES, STROKE OF 98 INCHES, 2 STROKE DIESEL MEGA MOTOR.   WELL IF YOU HAVEN'T GUESSED BY NOW THIS IS A SINGLE ENGINE FOR THE NEW SUPER TANKERS AND CARGO SHIPS THAT ARE BEING BUILT.  THESE ENGINES ARE DESIGNED TO BE USED BY THEMSELVES AS SOLITARY PROPULSION FOR THE NEW SHIPS.  EACH CYLINDAR MAKES 7800 HORSE POWER,  THATS 109,800 SHAFT HP; 608,500 LB FT OF TORQUE, AT A ROBUST 102 RPM..  FUEL ECONOMY IS REALLY GOOD FOR THIS BEAST, IT ONLY DRINKS 1660 GALLONS OF HEAVY FUEL OIL PER HOUR. THERMAL FUEL EFFICIENCY IS GREATER THAN 50%, COMPARED TO OUR VETTE ENGINES AT 25%.    SIZE IS SOMETHING ELSE,  LENGTH 89FT, HEIGHT 44 FT, WEIGHT 2300 TONS.  THE CRANK SHAFT ALONE WEIGHTS 300 TONS.  I DON'T KNOW HOW MUCH OIL THIS ENGINE HOLDS, BUT FROM WHAT I CAN FIND OUT, OIL CHANGES OCCUR EVERY 2 HOURS.  ONCE STARTED THIS ENGINE NEVER SHUTS OFF AND ANY MAINTENANCE  IS DONE WHILE RUNNING. OTHER DETAILS ABOUT THIS ENGINE I'M NOT SURE ABOUT.  SO IF YOUR PLANNING ON INSTALLING ONE IN YOUR VETTE, IT WILL REQUIRE SERIOUS MODIFICATION.   THERE ARE LOTS OF REALLY GOOD DRIVES COMING UP STARTING WITH OUR INITIAL SPRING RUN, THIS YEAR BACK TO WALLA WALLA AND TOURS OF SOME WINERYS.  I HOPE TO SEE ALL OF YOU AT THE SPRING RUN,  SATURDAY, APRIL 30TH.  UNTIL WE MEET AGAIN, BEE COOL.     CHUCK
