Hello Everyone: Thank you Chuck for your excellent
leadership of the Spokane Corvette Club. As you look so much like Santa
you certainly will be a tough act to follow. Seriously, thank you and
Lori for a great two years.
And thank you everyone for your support for me as
President of the Spokane Corvette Club. As I said Saturday night, I
am eager to continue the many traditions of our SCC. I feel that
having fun at all our events and meetings, being a supporter of
numerous non-profit organizations, having fun, the sharing of info
on the care of our Corvettes, having fun, building friendships and
so much more are the traditions I want to keep.
I will use e-mail to communicate club information
(a-lot) and Pat has assured me that she can easily keep up with me
with adding my postings to our web-site. Our biggest fund raiser,
Glass on Grass, is again the last Saturday of July; the 31st. The
park has been reserved so we are again committed, oh yeah! So
please consider how you can contribute to this important event in
addition to your registration. Ask a friend to show, get a door
prize donated, find a $500.00 sponsor, set-up, tear-down, clean-up
and more. This is a huge showcase for our club and what we do for
the community. It's more than the $500.00 we earmark in our
advertising, it's what we've done year after year for over 50 years
now. We can be proud of the community spirt our club demonstrates
and need to let folks know how we help.
So, I guess that my first official duty is to let
you know that: Your dues are due! We will be changing our PO Box
number to bring it closer to those that pick up the mail, so best if
you send dues direct to Barb Beck at:
Barb Beck
17823 N. Boston Road
Colbert, WA 99005
($40- for renewal, $50- new membership)
Again thank you for your support. I look forward
to a fun year ahead.
See you on the road,
Rex
